The city is a quilt of different fabrics woven together creatively. It balances a rich history of Latin-American inhabitants, an epicenter for media and entertainment, a beacon of health(ier) living, a coastal lifestyle, and a constant source of progressive ideas.
Incredible and authentic Thai food in a sea of quality. Thai Town is known for its depth in Asian food options and Jitlada remains a standout.
The homey feel. You feel like you’re in the restaurant of a family you know. You’ll need to put your name down on a list the old school way and just wait. Don’t let the line scare you and rather just take it as validation of quality. The ambience is a great value add to the food.
It’s great to have options across the vast city and this is a good one if you happen to be staying or currently located centrally. Indoor and outdoor seating option to fit whatever vibe you’re going for
There has to be at least one taco rec, right? I won’t say Leo’s has the “best” tacos as there is no one best option. You’ll have to try them all and decide for yourself. Hanging out eating a tacos/burrito with people you know and don’t know is an LA staple experience
Have to get out in nature while in the city of Angels. While a common tourist excursion, it’s a great balance of hiking/walking and incredible views of the city.
Prime spot to see the Hollywood sign
Great night of community and vibes
Iconic light poles at LACMA
Lots of name brand stores, small shops, and good eats along a singular road on the west side. All the things to have a great day out in the sun not far from the water.
Pop up shops and interesting street vendors in addition to the major stores
